We’re thrilled to announce that Nitsch has been named one of Zweig Group’s 2025 Best Firms to Work For! Nitsch was ranked #11 in the “100-199 Employees” category and #29 in the Multidiscipline categories. The full list of winners can be found here.
Zweig Group’s Best Firms to Work For (BFTWF) Award Program is the largest employee survey in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. They state that BFTWF “recognizes the top AEC firms in the US and Canada based on workplace practices, employee benefits, retention rates, and other employee sentiment data,” including direct employee feedback.
Firms that submit for the program are first placed into categories based on size and discipline. They are then ranked on a combined score from two surveys: a corporate survey assessing policies and practices, and an anonymous employee survey capturing feedback on engagement, satisfaction, and culture. This year, 135 firms made the list, and Nitsch is proud to be one of the firms that came out on top.
In a statement about why Nitsch should be recognized as a Best Firm to Work For, President & CEO Jenn Johnson, PE, CFM, LEED AP said:
“At Nitsch, our efforts to drive an intentional, values-based culture have resulted in an inclusive workplace environment that supports professionals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring everyone can bring their authentic selves to work. Our amazing employees enjoy working at a people-first, multi-disciplinary firm that delivers high-impact design, engineering, planning, and land surveying services, which have received widespread acclaim for quality and innovation. In addition, our commitment to ‘building better communities with you’ means that we focus on projects that help improve the world around us – by improving safety, increasing sustainability and resilience, and supporting the community – all while collaborating with our clients, colleagues, and employees. ”
The results of this survey clearly highlight Nitsch’s continued dedication to fostering a workplace where employees are engaged, empowered, and valued.
