Putting Safety First: Protecting Communities During COVID-19 Outbreak

The health and safety of our communities is our top priority. As COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to spread, we believe it’s critical to follow the current best practices and scientific recommendations that aim to slow the spread of the virus. With this in mind, Nitsch Engineering has encouraged all employees to work from home, and has closed our office to the public.

What does this mean for our clients and colleagues?

We don’t believe this approach will have any impact on our clients, colleagues, or projects. Nitsch Engineering’s remote work policy and IT setup have already allowed most of our team to work from home when desired, so our employees know how to work efficiently and effectively together and with clients from various locations. And thanks to modern technology, you will still be able to reach your connections here via email and their same everyday phone lines!

Have any questions?

Please feel free to reach out to your connections at Nitsch – we’re always here to help you!

We hope you all stay healthy!

Update: 3/24/2020
According to the Governor of Massachusetts’ order which became effective today, Nitsch Engineering is an essential business. This means that we do have access to our offices; however, we continue to recommend that our employees follow the recommendations of health experts regarding “social distancing” to help flatten the curve of the disease. The majority of our employees are working from home, and our offices will remain closed to the public for as long as is recommended. Our field surveyors are continuing to support our projects, while following health and safety recommendations for “social distancing.” We hope you are all also doing the best you can to follow these recommendations, and that you stay healthy!

Update: 6/8/2020
As offices in Massachusetts and Washington, DC begin to reopen, safety remains Nitsch Engineering’s primary concern. While our offices remain closed to the public for the foreseeable future, employees are now allowed to work in all four of our offices. We have an in-depth safety plan in place to protect our employees, and clear processes and protocols in place to make sure that office capacity allows for physical distancing and does not exceed the allowed levels. However, we continue to encourage our employees to work from home if it’s feasible for them, as it continues to be the safest option.

For our clients and colleagues: nothing should change from your perspective! You can continue to reach your connections as you have all along via email, phone, or video conference.
