What do you love most about your job?

“I love collaborating with bright minds on a daily basis, where I am constantly learning and elevating my understanding in the field. I love knowing my work helps improve communities, building a more sound and sustainable planet, one step at a time.

“I also love seeing things I have designed get built. It is a beautiful part of the job to be able to go out into the field, physically meet others within the industry, and see something turn from paper to physical construction and an end product. There is great satisfaction in that.”

What drew you to working in civil engineering?

“The thought of being able to leave my mark on the planet with sustainable infrastructure and innovative land development designs, and knowing that communities are being improved with the work I do in my field.

“I am also a creative who enjoys problem-solving and being presented with obstacles that need to be overcome. I enjoy collaborating with others, and know that’s what civil engineering is all about.”

What are you passionate about outside of work?

“Exploring the world and different cultures I have not experienced yet. There is no feeling that matches being put in an environment you have never experienced before.

“My family and my culture are also things I am passionate about. I enjoy learning more about our history and the meanings behind our traditions, it is what makes me/us a unique being. I also enjoy sharing anything about my culture with the world.

“I also thoroughly enjoy cinematography/film, photography, acting/improvisation, and sketching. Generally, creative outlets where I am able to express my mind and physical self.”
