What do you love most about your job?
“I’m not an engineer, but I love to know how things work. It’s been really interesting to learn about the A/E/C industry, all the layers and layers of design that go into every single element of our built environment. It definitely makes me more forgiving of slow processes, like, oh yeah, I actually do want everyone involved to double-check their math even if it does make it take a little longer.”
What drew you to working in administration?
“I like working supportive roles and helping other people get what they need to have a fun, efficient, balanced work environment! Plus, I love having lots of little tasks that I can start, finish, and cross off my list.”
What are you passionate about outside of work?
“I’m an artist! My main medium is linocut printing, and I also draw and make comics. I love nature and I like to volunteer my local river orgs: I am very good at removing invasive water chestnuts and counting fish. I also read a lot! I mostly read speculative fiction with queer casts, but I do a little bit of everything.”
