Monica Saideh, PE

Transportation Engineer

What do you love most about your job?

“I love being part of a team and working together to solve problems and deliver quality products.”

What drew you to working in transportation engineering?

“When I was in high school, the home I grew up in was completely torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. I got to see the process in all its phases and that experience sparked my interest in the engineering and construction fields. A later experience left me unexpectedly without a car and I had to rely on public transportation and my own two feet to get around which opened my eyes to a whole new perspective about roadway and transportation design outside the vehicular experience. This elicited a desire to be part of the conversation about transportation systems and roadway design so that I can have a direct positive impact on the user experience of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and public transit users.”

What are you passionate about outside of work?

“I love snowboarding and golfing, playing softball with my coworkers, traveling abroad, and cooking.”
