As Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager, Matt oversees the growth and development of Nitsch Engineering’s DC office and manages strategic projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and New England.
Matt is a civil engineer with more than 35 years of experience related to site development projects. His broad range of practical experience – which includes land surveying, site planning, hydrologic site modeling, roadway and utility system design, and construction review – provides a reliable base of knowledge to support a creative and inclusive design approach. In addition to his solid technical background, he also offers an extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of the intricacies of public review and approval strategies, and site construction methods and processes, shepherding many projects from concept through construction.
“Over the years, the one constant that I have enjoyed the most about our business has been the opportunity to meet so many new and interesting people, and to get to know them on a personal level. I get a great deal of personal satisfaction from learning about who they are as people and finding ways to help them achieve their goals and objectives.”
Outside of Nitsch
Matt spends much of his time working on old homes. Residential home restoration/renovation has been a passion of his for over 20 years. He enjoys the challenges and rewards of learning new skills, honing old skills, and bringing old homes back to life.
