Mark Violette Mark Violette

Mark Violette, PLS

Deputy Director of Land Surveying

What do you love most about your job?

“I love the diversity of the projects, people, properties, and research that comprises land surveying. It also provides fulfillment in helping society with property rights and development.”

What drew you to working in Land Surveying?

“I had wanted to be an architect since I was in third grade, but one of my post-secondary teachers introduced me to a land surveyor for a potential job. Once I started working and began traveling around the state and spending time outdoors, which I love, I realized what a great career land surveying was.”

What are you passionate about outside of work?

“Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music and working around my house and yard.”
