Nitsch Engineering Welcomes Two New Shareholders – John Schmid, PE and Sandra A. Brock, PE, LEED AP

April 20, 2006; Boston, MA – John Schmid, PE, and Sandra Brock, PE, LEED AP, both Senior Project Managers at Nitsch Engineering, a civil engineering, land surveying, traffic/transportation engineering, planning, and GIS firm, have recently become shareholders of the firm.

A resident of Hull, John Schmid has over 18 years of experience and has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. His civil/site engineering experience includes performing engineering design reviews for municipalities and site design for commercial, residential, and recreational developments. Responsible for Nitsch Engineering’s utility permitting, John has strong relationships with the Boston Water and Sewer Commission, the Boston Transportation Department, and the Boston Public Improvement Commission.

With over 20 years of experience, Sandy has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Lowell (now UMASS Lowell) and is a resident of Grafton, MA. With a strong background in land use planning, Sandy is very familiar with current policies of the Department of Environmental Protection and the Wetland Protection Act. She is a LEED™ Accredited Professional and is an instructor for the Arnold Arboretum’s Landscape Design Program in Site Engineering.
