February 28, 2008; Boston, Mass. – Nitsch Engineering, Inc. – a Boston-based civil engineering, land surveying, transportation engineering, sustainable site consulting, planning, and GIS firm – has been recognized as one of the Best Civil Engineering Firms to Work For in the United States by CE News magazine. Out of the 145 firms that applied, Nitsch Engineering was ranked Number 39 overall and Number 15 in the Small Firm category.
The CE News Best Civil Engineering Firm to Work For Contest is one of the most meaningful rankings in the industry. The contest included a corporate survey and an employee satisfaction survey, which were graded and weighted equally by magazine staff. Grading criteria included corporate culture, benefits, compensation, professional development, performance/recognition, and recruiting/retention. By assigning numeric values to each of these categories, CE News was able to determine that Nitsch Engineering was a “destination workplace” for employees.
