Nitsch Engineering Named a 2019 Top 100 Women-Led Business!

We’re thrilled to announce that Nitsch Engineering is #93 on the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts list, prepared by The Commonwealth Institute and The Boston Globe Magazine!

The Commonwealth Institute (TCI), a nonprofit that supports female business leaders, examined each applicant’s revenue/operating budget, number of full-time employees in the state, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects. TCI then ranked organizations according to a proprietary formula.

The 100 companies on the list represent a total revenue/operating budget of $49.5 billion, and employ more than 90,000 people in Massachusetts (435,000 globally)!

As part of the feature article in The Boston Globe Magazine, Lisa Brothers was asked, “What advice would you give to the next generation of women leaders?” Lisa responded, “Create your own opportunities! When Judy Nitsch announced she was going to start her own company, I was 26 years old, and I followed her into her office and said, ‘Not without me.’ Judy had a non-solicitation [agreement] with her partners. If I hadn’t approached her, as much as she wanted me to be with the new company, she never would have approached me. Women, especially in a male-dominated field, sometimes think that if they just work really hard, they’ll get noticed and they’ll get promoted. You have to step forward!”

We’re proud to be a part of this amazing group of companies!
