Nitsch Engineering Announces Four New Project Managers

Nitsch Engineering is pleased to announce four new project managers who will help the company continue to meet client needs. John Schoenfeld, PE, has joined the transportation engineering department; Todd Chapman, PLS, has joined the land surveying department; and Deborah Danik, PE, CPESC, LEED AP BD+C, and Steven Ventresca, PE, LEED AP BD+C, have been promoted to project managers within the civil engineering department.

John Schoenfeld, PE, (shown upper left) brings over 25 years of transportation engineering experience to Nitsch Engineering. His experience has centered around managing, designing, and permitting highway, roadway, and utility design projects, from complex multi-level flyover interchanges for the Federal Highway Administration, to municipal improvement projects for cities and towns throughout New England. This experience has given him considerable expertise in designing transportation solutions that meet Federal Highway Administration, Massachusetts Department of Transportation, and local design requirements. John is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and earned an MBA from Babson College.

Todd Chapman, PLS, (shown upper right) brings 28 years of experience in land surveying to Nitsch Engineering. During his career, he has worked with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and property owners to provide land surveying services on a wide range of projects in urban, suburban, and rural locations. His experience includes existing conditions, boundary retracement, right of way, ALTA/ACSM, GPS, and construction layout surveys. Todd is experienced in using Autodesk Civil 3D and LDC, Leica Geo Office, GPS, and Robotic Total Stations to prepare survey deliverables that meet his clients’ needs. Todd is a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Massachusetts, and completed coursework in surveying at the University of New Brunswick in Canada.

Deborah Danik, PE, CPESC, LEED AP BD+C, (shown lower left) has 12 years of experience in the civil engineering field. In her nine years at Nitsch Engineering, her project experience has included mixed-use and commercial developments, academic facilities, and transportation-related projects in Massachusetts – particularly in the City of Boston, where she specializes in providing urban site design, integrating sustainable site practices, and resolving permitting issues. She received the 2010 Boston Society for Civil Engineers Section (BSCES) Younger Member of the Year Award. Deborah is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction, and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. She earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Steven Ventresca, PE, LEED AP BD+C, (shown lower right) has 16 years of experience in civil engineering. In the seven years he has been at Nitsch Engineering, Steve has focused on providing site layout design, stormwater management design, and transportation design for residential and commercial developments, academic facilities, and roadway improvements. He has also gained experience in providing municipal project reviews for local Conservation Commissions, Planning Boards, and Zoning Boards. Steve’s experience working for municipal clients is strengthened by his experience as a member of the Town of Middleborough’s Conservation Commission, which has allowed him to gain insights into the way that Town decisions are made. He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
