Judith Nitsch, PE, Named Fellow of ACEC

September, 2000; Boston, MA – The American Consulting Engineers Council (ACEC) elected Judy Nitsch as a Fellow at the national conference in San Diego. Judy has been recognized for her years of service in the organization and her notable contributions to the advancement of consulting engineering. Judy is one of five women nationally to be named a Fellow of ACEC.

In 1989, she joined ACEC of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) and has served on eleven committees and boards. Currently, Ms. Nitsch is the Chair of the American Consulting Engineer Magazine Editorial Board. From 1994 to 2000 she has served on the Massachusetts’ Chapter Board of Directors and was the 1998-99 President. Judy was the first woman and youngest person to serve as President of ACEC/Massachusetts.

ACEC is the business association of America’s engineering industry, representing more than 5,000 independent engineering companies throughout the United States engaged in the development of transportation, environmental, industrial, and other infrastructure. ACEC/MA is one of 52 Member Organizations of ACEC and includes over 150 of the leading firms in Massachusetts ranging in size from single employee entrepreneurs to branch offices of national firms.
