July, 2001; Boston, MA – Judith Nitsch, PE, President of Nitsch Engineering in Boston, was recently recognized by the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus at the 14th Annual Tribute to Abigail Adams.
The Abigail Adams Tribute honors outstanding Massachusetts women leaders who have made significant contributions to political, economic, and social rights for women.
Judy’s entire professional career has been dedicated to breaking down the traditional barriers in a civil engineering world historically dominated by white males. Her success has opened doors to many other women and minorities in a number of different industries. Judy has presented at various organizations to share with others not only her accomplishments, but also the many obstacles she had to conquer hoping to pave the way so that others can anticipate potential barriers or possibly avoid them altogether.
Judy has made it a personal campaign to ensure that young women recognize their full potential. She often speaks to young adults on career choices and about her experiences as an engineer and entrepreneur.
