Judith Nitsch Engineering Becomes Nitsch Engineering

New Name. Same Spirit.

November 8, 2006; Boston, MAJudith Nitsch Engineering announced today that the firm has changed its name to Nitsch Engineering, effective immediately. With 65 employees, including eight shareholders, and projects in 12 states and four countries, the firm updated its name to reflect what they have already become as a company after 17 years of constant growth. The firm’s New York entity has also changed its name, becoming Nitsch Engineering & Land Surveying of NY, PC.

“While I don’t plan on retiring or leaving the firm for years, we decided to change our firm’s name to Nitsch Engineering because it reflects the evolution that has occurred within the firm. A dozen years ago we primarily did public projects; today half of our revenue is in the private sector, primarily on higher education, corporate, and institutional projects. Although we remain a Women-Owned Business Enterprise, our WBE work is only a small fraction of our annual revenue – but our former name implied differently,” said Judith Nitsch, PE, LEED AP, President of Nitsch Engineering. “Nitsch Engineering may be a new name, but we are still focused on one thing – working together to meet and exceed our clients’ goals.”
