On the technical side…
Brian Creamer, AICP, SITES AP, Planning Project Manager
Brian brings nine years of sustainable planning and design experience to Nitsch Engineering’s civil, transportation, and planning projects. He has been the active lead of Nitsch’s Geographic Information System (GIS) group. Brian’s breadth of work spans a variety of project types from campus and institutional master planning to municipal open space and resilience planning efforts. A creative and collaborative designer, Brian is focused on designing sites that sustainably integrate stormwater into the landscape. In addition, he has a full command of the design process, including performing context analysis and producing project deliverables through construction.
Brian has served as an adjunct faculty member with Boston University’s City Planning and Urban Affairs program and has taught courses on planning topics including urban design and planning history. Brian is a member of the American Planning Association and the American Society of Landscape Architects. Brian volunteers in his hometown of Chelmsford, Massachusetts on the Vinal Square Strategic Action Plan Committee. Brian has also volunteered in Malden, Massachusetts as past chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Walkability and past chair of the Conservation Commission. In 2018, he was awarded Emerging Planner of the Year from the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Planning Association.
Chris Hodney, PE, Civil Engineering Project Manager
In his eight-year career as a civil engineer, Chris has focused on providing site design services for commercial and residential projects in the City of Boston, as well as large academic projects throughout eastern Massachusetts. His primary role in these projects is providing site design, roadway grading, and construction administration services. As the result of his experience in the City of Boston, Chris has developed an understanding of how to work through the Boston Water and Sewer Commission and Public Improvement Commission permitting processes.
Chris is skilled in providing AutoCAD Civil3D drafting and design, using Civil3D features such as Pipe Networks, Corridors, and Surfaces to increase plan accuracy and design speed. He is also experienced in using Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis to analyze pipe networks.
Will Schreefer, PE, Civil Engineering Project Manager
Will has almost nine years of experience in civil engineering, primarily in site, utility, and stormwater design, as well as permitting. While working in New Jersey and Massachusetts, he has worked with a variety of clients both municipal and private to meet their civil engineering needs. Will specializes in providing comprehensive design and project experience, working directly with clients from the investigation/due diligence stage through design and construction administration, as well as in applications to local and state permitting authorities. This experience includes drafting of construction plans, specifications and cost estimates, and construction management/inspection.
His design experience encompasses open space areas and recreation fields, commercial development, and private universities. He has also worked directly with municipalities on peer reviews for proposed development, as well as in master planning elements for overall development of public infrastructure. Will attended graduate school to expand his knowledge and practical experience in sustainable and stormwater engineering and has an in-depth understanding of applying this knowledge in practice to a wide range of projects.
Ryan M. Gordon, PE, ENV SP, LEED Green Associate, Senior Civil Project Engineer
Ryan began at Nitsch as a Project Designer in 2012 and specializes in working on projects in the City of Boston, making him familiar with the City’s processes and permitting requirements. He is a great example of engaged and proactive client care.
Matthew M. Styckiewicz, PE, Senior Structural Engineer
Matt has been a part of Nitsch’s structural department for two years and specializes in the design and inspection of marine structures, including pile supported piers and wharves, bulkheads, seawalls, caissons, and bridges. He is a dependable, ambitious, goal-oriented engineer.
John Wertan, PE, Senior Structural Engineer
John has been a part of Nitsch’s structural department for two years and has experience in several inspection, evaluation, and load rating assignments for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Maine Department of Transportation, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and the City of Boston. His dedication to quality work consistently earns him the respect of clients and colleagues.

On the corporate side…
Anna Luciano, CPSM, Director of Marketing
Anna has 18 years of experience as a marketing and communications professional, including 15 years addressing the unique challenges of marketing within the AEC industry. As Director of Marketing at Nitsch Engineering, Anna’s responsibilities include managing the company’s external and internal communications efforts, overseeing the company’s project pursuits and proposal activities, providing support and strategic guidance for business development efforts, implementing strategic initiatives, and managing the marketing team and team projects.
Anna loves to stay involved and give back to the community. At Nitsch Engineering, she co-chairs the Nitsch Cares employee-resource group, which manages charitable giving and community engagement activities for the company. She has been actively involved in the SMPS Boston chapter since 2005, serving in a variety of roles on the education, programs, and communications committees before serving as chapter president for the 2015-2016 program year. She currently serves as an advisor to the SMPS Boston chapter, and on the SMPS Northeast Regional Conference communications committee. Since 2017, Anna has been helping lead Canstruction Boston; she currently serves as Director for the annual design-build competition that recruits AEC firms to construct colossal structures made entirely from canned goods that ultimately benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
Virginia Steigerwald, Marketing & Proposal Specialist
Virginia works closely with our internal staff and clients to develop proposals and has been a part of Nitsch’s marketing department for five years. She brings a proactive and thoughtful approach to her support of marketing and business development initiatives.
Brian Rini, Senior IT Support Specialist
Brian has been instrumental in the successful execution of our employees working remotely during this pandemic and has been a part of Nitsch’s IT department for four years. He brings an intelligent and positive perspective to his support of daily IT responsibilities.
Audrie Cortes, Office Management Coordinator
Audrie supports the Director of Administrative Services with office operations in all four of our office locations and has been a part of Nitsch’s administrative department for two years. She brings enthusiasm, positivity, and a caring attitude to all she does to keep our offices organized and efficient.
