Lisa Brothers Named President and CEO of Nitsch Engineering

Nitsch Engineering is pleased to announce that Lisa Brothers, PE, LEED AP BD+C, is now President and CEO of the company, moving up from her role as Vice President and COO. Judith Nitsch, PE, LEED AP BD+C, will now serve as Founding Principal and Chairman of the Board, and will continue to work full-time, focusing on client relations and business development.

“Lisa and I have worked side-by-side for more than 20 years with a shared vision for our business,” said Ms. Nitsch. “Our plan has always been for Lisa to take leadership of the company, and this transition is an important milestone for our company’s future.”

As President, Ms. Brothers will focus on growth, while maintaining the company’s commitment to serving the needs of clients and associates. Ms. Brothers said, “I have led the execution of our strategic plan for the past two years with the goal of expanding our geographic reach and enhancing our services to better serve our clients. As President and CEO, I’m excited to drive the growth of the company to achieve our vision.”

Ms. Brothers has over 26 years of experience – 21 years at Nitsch Engineering – in the design, construction, and management of roadway, site development, and infrastructure-related projects. She currently serves as President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA). An alumna of University Massachusetts-Lowell with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Ms. Brothers is a member of their Chancellor’s External Advisory Board, the College of Engineering/Industrial Advisory Board, and the Center for Women and Work Advisory Board. She is Past President (2003-2004) and current member of the Advisory Board for the Women’s Transportation Seminar-Boston Chapter; in 2008, the organization named her Woman of the Year. She served as a member of the Town of Wilmington Conservation Commission from 1995-2005. Ms. Brothers earned an MBA from Northeastern University and is a 2004 graduate of ACEC National’s Senior Executive Institute.
