Alexander Diotte Alexander Diotte

Alexander D. Diotte, PLS

Deputy Director of Land Surveying

Alex’s college degree was in forest management – but as he progressed through college and began integrating surveying elective classes into his coursework, he came to the realization that land surveying was the career path he wanted to follow. After graduation, a colleague and former classmate of his invited him to join a small civil engineering and land surveying firm – he’s been in the field ever since!

Alex has more than 30 years of experience in land surveying, including fieldwork, research, calculations, drafting, and project management. He is experienced in all forms of surveys, including property line, topographic, geodetic, title insurance, and construction surveys. Alex specializes in providing land surveying services for airport clients. He is an experienced user of AutoCAD, Carlson, SoftDesk, and Benchmark software packages. As the Deputy Director of Land Surveying, he helps oversee the daily operations of Nitsch Engineering’s land surveying department and field crew.

“I enjoy helping clients every step of the way in the development process. It starts with a comprehensive foundation (survey) for the project. It can then go onto permitting support, easement, ALTA (financing), and as-builts to close out the project. I take pride in seeing completed projects knowing that I had a small but important part!”

Outside of Nitsch

When he’s not working, Alex is likely outdoors on a bike ride. When time permits, he also enjoys honing his woodworking skills in his shop – woodworking is a huge passion of his, and is something he plans to spend much of his time doing later in life!
