Steve was strongly influenced by his parents – especially his father, who was a Civil Engineer and Captain in the Army Corps of Engineers and later became president of his own consulting engineering firm. Steve soon followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming an engineer himself. He ultimately pursued the civil/transportation engineering field, as he enjoyed working on projects that he could visualize and the feeling of achievement of driving down a road, bridge, or tunnel that he helped design.
Steve has 35 years of experience in the engineering field and is the Deputy Director of Nitsch Engineering’s Transportation Engineering department. His experience has centered around the preparation of design documents, development of work schedules and budgets, management of junior engineers, and coordination with various local and state authorities for transportation engineering projects in municipalities throughout Massachusetts.
Outside of Nitsch
Outside of work, Steve enjoys playing golf, hiking, and biking. His real passion, however, is his family. He describes his wife as his best friend, and he loves traveling to spend time with his children, grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
