Nitsch Engineering provided land surveying and civil engineering services for a new 70,000-gross-square-foot school that serves approximately 750 middle and high school students. This fast-tracked project resulted in a fully operational new facility within two years.
We performed topographic, utility, boundary, and title insurance surveys on the 5.8-acre site located off of High Rock Road. The site’s location on the hill made mapping the terrain a challenge. In addition, the quality and quantity of record boundary evidence presented challenges in determining the site’s property lines. Nitsch Engineering retraced street lines from record information that dated back to the 1890’s and early 20th century.
We also provided grading design, and utility design for the water and sewer services. In order to mitigate peak rate of stormwater run-off, we also designed a subsurface drainage detention system.
