Nitsch Engineering is providing land surveying and civil engineering services for a new 70,000 gross-square-foot school that will serve approximately 750 middle and high school students. This fast-tracked project will result in a fully operational new facility by August 2012.
Nitsch Engineering performed topographic, utility, boundary, and title insurance surveys on the 5.8-acre site located off of High Rock Road. The site’s location on the hill made mapping the terrain a challenge. In addition, the quality and quantity of record boundary evidence presented challenges in determining the site’s property lines. We retraced street lines from record information that dated back to the 1890’s and early 20th century. Nitsch Engineering’s services included the grading and design of the water and sewer services. In order to mitigate peak rate of stormwater run-off, we also designed a subsurface drainage detention system.
