Nitsch Engineering provided both land surveying and civil engineering services for this Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) project. Survey services included providing base mapping to be used in the design of a replacement water line tunnel passing underneath the Chelsea Creek and staging areas used for the dismantling of a second water line tunnel passing under the creek. In addition, Nitsch Engineering created the necessary land taking plans for the new water line tunnel alignment. We also provided civil engineering services involved with the Resident Inspection Service, including the daily observation and documentation of the progress and quality of the work associated with the pipeline construction.
