Judith Nitsch, PE, LEED AP
President
Judy Nitsch is the founding principal of Nitsch Engineering. Her work over the past 33 years in the civil engineering field has focused on the design and management of site development and infrastructure-related projects. She frequently serves as an expert witness. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Judy is a Registered Professional Engineer in 20 states and the District of Columbia.
Judy was the 1998-1999 President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts. In 1985, she was President of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section/ASCE. In both organizations, Judy was their youngest and first woman president.
Judy is the recipient of many local and national awards, including the American Society of Civil Engineers' Parcel-Sverdrup Engineering Management Award, Boston Society of Architects Women in Design Award, the Patriots' Trail Girl Scout Council's Leading Women Award, the Woman of the Year from the Women's Transportation Seminar-Boston Chapter, and the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers' Young Engineer Award.
In 1989, Judy was elected the first alumna member to WPI's Board of Trustees, and serves as Chair of the Physical Facilities Committee and as a member of several other board committees. She is also a trustee of Eastern Bank, and a Fellow of ACEC and SWE.
