Nitsch Engineering has been providing land surveying and civil engineering services for Boston University for over 10 years. From survey and GIS services for master planning — to site design and permitting, we have worked integrally with the University to move their campus plans forward.


East Campus Student Services Center

  • 99,600-sq-ft, six-story building within Boston’s Groundwater Conservation Overlay District

Law School Tower

  • $141 million renovation/addition project

Admissions Reception Center, 233 Bay State Road

  • Renovation/addition of former Hillel House to provide new admissions center
  • Reconstruction of a section of roadway to provide welcoming pedestrian corridor
  • Design of site utilities and stormwater recharge for Groundwater Conservation Overlay District compliance
  • LEED documentation

New Balance Field

  • Replacement of a surface parking lot and former industrial building with a single-level parking structure with a synthetic turf athletic playing field above
  • Relocation of a 6 ft by 6 ft underground storm culvert
  • Improvements to site and landscaping to provide additional green space, pedestrian accessibility, and better integrate into the neighborhood
  • Stormwater collection and storage for irrigation, and stormwater recharge system
  • Streetscape modifications to improve pedestrian experience and accommodate future bike lanes
