In a summary of the current largest engineering firms in Massachusetts, the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) awarded spot #22 out of 25 to Nitsch Engineering this February. The list is cultivated with information regarding the firms’ total 2020 engineering billings both in and out of state. Based on this data, Nitsch Engineering remains the largest women-owned engineering firm in Massachusetts.

Our President & CEO Lisa Brothers, PE, ENV SP, LEED AP BD+C was questioned by the BBJ, “What’s your firm’s growth strategy for 2021, and are there particular markets/sectors in which you’re seeing opportunities for growth?” She responded:

“While the future remains unclear, we are optimistic about the possibility of infrastructure funding finally being made a priority. Whether this is tied to an economic relief bill, the reauthorization or expansion of the FAST Act, or a new infrastructure spending bill, infrastructure investment (from transportation to water resources to energy) benefits everybody. Furthermore, as we continue to witness the impacts of climate change, we anticipate that infrastructure and development projects alike will see stronger (and more consistent) focuses on resilience.”
