The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Nitsch Engineering, Inc. as a winner of their 2016 Bronze Engineering Excellence Award for work on the Gallery Automotive Dealership in Rockland/Hingham, Massachusetts.
The 2016 Engineering Excellence Awards were announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala with emcees MA State Senator Karen Spilka and MA Secretary of Transportation Stephanie Pollack.
Nitsch Engineering, with offices in Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts, was retained by client company A.W. Perry, Inc. to provide engineering and land development consulting services for the Gallery Automotive Dealership, a 49,400 square foot square foot project that straddles the Rockland and Hingham town lines on a site with numerous space constraints and environmental sensitivities. Nitsch Engineering implemented green infrastructure techniques, including porous asphalt, to meet stringent regulatory requirements for stormwater management at the site.
“The winning projects exemplify ingenuity and professionalism and represent the breadth of engineering’s contribution to our everyday lives,” said ACEC/MA President David Vivilecchia. “They are outstanding examples of how engineers connect communities, provide safe and reliable water and energy, and make our buildings safe and efficient. The professional engineers and their colleagues at our member firms are dedicated to working on quality infrastructure, which wouldn’t otherwise exist. These outstanding projects are but a few examples of the quality work designed by Massachusetts and Rhode Island engineering firms.”
